About

Peter Rice is an English teacher by night and a hack writer even later at night. He was born in 1983, but has been writing in earnest since around the start of the second Clinton administration. He even did it professionally for a while, putting in stints at the Curry Coastal Pilot in Oregon and the now defunct Albuquerque Tribune in New Mexico. He focused on environmental and political reporting, as well as the random oddities of life.

This blog is a bid to document some of his current protracted international travel adventure, as well as shine some genuine journalistic light on places that most Americans don’t think about too much. Currently, Peter lives in the Mexican state of Michoacan in a little burg the locals call Zamora.
