I attended a live session in New Orleans a few years ago, but I was quite disappointed. Either he was having a bad night or he felt compelled to play up to New Orleans rather sleazy reputation. The opening monologue was a string of raunchy jokes, followed by ever-increasing vulgarity. The highlights of course was the music, featuring our lady of music, Irma Thomas. My date and I were surprised to be subjected to crude SNL type of material. Having read almost everything Keillor ever wrote, the whole experience was a bit disappointing. A hack. A coward. And worst of all, a thief. He recently robbed me off all the food in cupboards, the venison stored in my freezer and most importantly, my pride. Peter stayed in my glorious apartment for five days during his recent trip to Minnesota. All the while he berated me with insults of my life's path and my general inclination to enjoy a quiet winter in solitude. If you see Peter coming your way, turn and bolt for the nearest exit.
